Presentation Overview:
Check Point X—This is the primary course for Check Point’s flagship product, VPN-1/FireWall-1. This course covers the basic steps involved in configuring an Internet firewall and provides hands-on training to manage a VPN- 1/FireWall-1 installation. In addition, new capabilities in the Check Point NGX version of VPN-1/FireWall-1 are highlighted.

- Understand the VPN-1/FireWall-1 architecture and deploy its various components
- Define a security policy using SmartDashboard
- Deploy and manage distributed gateways, using Check Point’s SmartUpdate and Secure Internal Communications
- Administer and troubleshoot VPN-1/FireWall-1 Security Policies
- Enable SmartDefense global protection mechanisms
- Set up user authentication in a VPN-1/FireWall-1 environment
- Implement Network Address Translation
- Protect your network with backups
